Studio by Ecodia
Terms of Service
Last updated 29 June 2026
These terms cover your use of Studio, where you build and run your website with your Friend. They are meant to be plain.
1. Who you are agreeing with
Studio is operated by Ecodia Pty Ltd (ABN 89 693 123 278), a company in Australia. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Ecodia” mean Ecodia Pty Ltd, and “you” means the person or business using Studio.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the account you sign in with and for keeping its access safe. Give us accurate details, keep them current, and let us know if someone gains access they should not have. Studio is for people aged 16 and over.
3. Using Studio fairly
Use Studio for lawful purposes. In particular, please do not:
build or publish anything illegal or harmful with your Friend; try to reach another customer’s data or work around the safety checks that review every change; or resell access to the service as your own.
4. Your website and your content
You own your content and your website. Your site runs on infrastructure that you control, such as your own code repository, your own host, and your own database.
So your Friend can update the site for you, we keep a pointer to it and a deploy key held in your encrypted vault. We do not hold your website’s own data, and you can disconnect at any time and keep everything.
5. Your Friend and AI changes
Your Friend drafts changes and runs each one through an automated safety gate before it can go live: a change that fails to type-check, fails to build, or tries to read secrets or environment variables is stopped.
AI can still get things wrong, so review changes before you rely on them. The parts of our software that handle money are written and checked by real people, not the AI.
6. Billing
Studio is a monthly subscription you pay to Ecodia. Any money your own website takes in, such as sales or donations, goes straight to your own account in your name and never passes through us. You can see how this works on your Billing page.
7. Changes and availability
We work to keep Studio running and to improve it, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption, and features may change as the product grows. When these terms change we will update this page and the date at the top.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Studio at any time. Because your website and content live on infrastructure you control, they remain yours when you leave. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
9. Liability and your consumer rights
To the extent the law allows, Studio is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms removes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of anything written here.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
